First Day Back!

Hi! I'm now an eighth grader! Unfortunately, my advanced art class was cancelled, due to budget cuts, but I'm excited to be back in digital art, helping Mrs. Forrest and this year's students. Can't wait!

Last Day of School

Today was the last day of school!!! I wanted to thank all of you people for supporting a great Digital Art year. Thank you Mrs. Forrest for teaching me all I need to know about Photoshop and Photography! You are such an amazing teacher! I have had so much fun and learned so much! Have a fantastic summer!!!

Photoshop Makeover

This is my Photoshop Makeover project! As you may guess, this assignment required me to change my appearance in some way. I decided to dye my hair blue, using Photoshop. Now, I might consider blue hair! I hope you enjoy!

Shadow Study

These are the shadows for my Shadow Study! For this assignment, I took pictures of the shadows I found around me. I thought this was really cool because I was able to play around with the lighting and angles of the sun, in order to capture these photos. I hope you enjoy!!!

Dispersion Effect

This is what I've done for the Dispersion Effect assignment! As you can see, this is a picture of Michael Phelps with a dispersion, or shatter effect behind him I made in Photoshop. This assignment was very time-consuming, and I did restart multiple times, but I it was a really cool idea. I hope you enjoy!

Celebrity Photobomb

This is my Celebrity Photobomb project! For this assignment, I put actor, Steve Carrel, into this random crowd! I thought this assignment was very funny and I had very fun time putting it together. I hope you enjoy!!!

Self With Formal Self

This is my Self with Formal Self project! As you may guess, this assignment required me to Photoshop a younger version of me into a current photo of me. This assignment was very fun to make; I was laughing so hard when I was looking at some old pictures of me. I hope you enjoy too!

Image Inside Text

This is my Image Inside Text project! For this assignment, I used Photoshop CS5 to put art into art! I put a collage of famous paintings into the word art . I thought this assignment was very fun to make and it actually turned out pretty good. I was going to photoshop goats into the word goat, but my friend Emily already did that! I hope you enjoy!!!

Color Focus On A Black & White Photo

This is my Color Focus On A Black & White Photo project! For this assignment, I used a Photoshop to edit a black and white photo to focus your eye directly to the colorful rose in the center. This is actually a picture I took at Balboa Park in the Rose Garden. I thought this turned out pretty well. I hope you enjoy!!!

Colorized Drawing

This is my colorized drawing! Similarly to the Scanned Felt Tip Drawing, I did a while back, we were asked to draw something (in my case a sun) in a black felt tip pen. Then, I scanned it and put it into Photoshop, where I used the fill tool to colorize the black drawing. This assignment was very fun because I was able to showcase my traditional artistic side. I hope you enjoy!

Font

This is the font I created! This time, I used a website called FontStruct to individually create each letter. Although this assignment was very time consuming, it was very fun. In the end, I thought it turned out very well. I hope you enjoy!

Hybrid Cartoon Character

This is what I did for my hybrid character! Much like the hybrid creature, we were asked to use parts of at least 3 different cartoon characters to create a hybrid, with Photoshop. As you can see, I used Tweety Bird, Betty Boop, Popeye, Tom (Tom & Jerry), and Charlie Brown! I definitely enjoyed making this and I hope you enjoy too!

Panoramic Image

I have officially finished Assignment Card 2!!! This is what I've done for the panoramic image! For this project, I took multiple pictures around school and assembled them, in Photoshop, as if they were all part of one picture. This shows the movement silhouettes in front of the art room! I hope you enjoy!!!

Animated .GIF

This is the .gif I made! This assignment was so fun to make! At first, I was struggling to figure out what to do for it, but in the end, it turned out so well. This was made using 22 different panels. Lately, I have been thinking about what my life is about. And I have definitely found that part of that is expressed through all kinds of art. Write your own story! It starts with Once Upon A Time... I hope you enjoy!!!

Retouching

This is what I did for the retouching assignment! As you might understand in the name, I found a picture online and edited it, using Photoshop, to make this person look younger. I used a picture of Creed, from The Office to take away some of his wrinkles and add some color to his hair. Hopefully, he looks a few years into his past! I hope you enjoy!

Magazine Cover

Similar to the movie poster assignment, I put my face into a magazine cover, using Photoshop. For this project, it was important to think about things like shape, color, proportion, etc. I think it looks funny, but I hope you enjoy!

Movie Poster

This is my movie poster for Mockingjay Part 1! For this assignment, I was asked to use Photoshop to put my face on a poster for any movie. As you can see, my face is in the place of Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games. This project was very fun to make and I hope you enjoy!

Photo Collage with Text Features

This is my photo collage with text features. For this assignment, we were asked to make a collage of pictures and add words, with different fonts and colors, to each one, to each one, using Photoshop. I don't usually like taking pictures of myself, but I thought this was really fun! I hope you enjoy!!!

Classical "Painted" Portrait

This is my classical "painted" portrait! I took this photo outside my backyard and then put into Photoshop. I used the different filters to try to make it look like it was painted, using "watercolor". Although it is not a portrait, this I had a lot of fun making this. I hope you enjoy!

Creative Blurring

For the creative blurring assignment, I found a picture of a goat running in a field and then used the tools in Photoshop to focus the eye on the goat, using radical blurring! I thought this turned out pretty well. I hope you do too!

Portrait Background Montage

This is my portrait montage with different backgrounds! In this assignment, I was asked to find different backgrounds and put them into a collage. I decided to choose all of the places I love or really want to travel to. This includes Yosemite, London, The Bahamas, Rome, The Colosseum, Paris, Mount Everest, Hawaii, New York, Hogwarts, Marble Cave, Egypt, Greece, The Grand Canyon, and Spain! I hope you enjoy!

Self-Portrait Filter Montage

This is the collage I made of, well, me! For this project, I used the Photobooth on my computer and changed the filters to take pictures of myself. I then put all 15 pictures into Photoshop, where I repositioned them into this! I usually don't like myself in pictures, but I thought this was pretty fun! I hope you enjoy!

Triple Portrait Evolution

This is my triple portrait evolution of Harry Potter! For this assignment, I found three pictures of Harry Potter (from years 1, 4, and 7) and put them together to make this! This project was very fun to see Harry "grow up" in a single image. I hope you enjoy this too! For fun, I saw this online and recreated it!

Candyland Landscape

If only this was our world! This is my candyland landscape! For this assignment, I found a landscape photo online and recreated it, to be made of candy! As you can see, I added a donut sun, a gingerbread house, a chocolate hill, a forest of cotton candy trees, and much more! I had a very fun time creating this and I hope you like it too!

Art Addition to Masterpiece

This is what I did for the art addition to a masterpiece project! I was asked to put my face into an art masterpiece. At first, it was kind of hard to decide what piece of art I should choose. Most people put their face into a portrait painting, however, I thought it would be fun to incorporate myself into the apple of The Son of a Man . This is how it turned out! Hope you enjoy!!!

Look Who's In Our School

This is what turned out for my "Look Who's In Our School" project! In this assignment, I found a picture of Marshall Middle School, this one, in particular, being in one of the lunch courts. Then, I was asked to put any celebrities or characters into the photo. I chose to put Star Wars characters in. Imagine if this was real!!!!!

Creative Repetition

This is my creative repetition project! As said in the title, this assignment required me to take one image and repeat it multiple times Photoshop to create an artistic piece. I took a picture of a tube/pipe and created this! To add a little more interest, I added the little stick figure. Hope you enjoy!

Disproportionate Photo

This is the disproportionate photo I created using Photoshop! For this assignment, I was to take something that is usually small and make it big and vice versa. I decided to enlarge a tiny ant and shink the giraffe. Imagine if you actually saw this at a park! This project was very fun to create and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

World Traveler Picture (Seven Wonders of the World)

This is my World Traveler Picture I created using photoshop. We were asked to find a picture of one of the seven wonders of the world and put ourselves into it! If you do not know already, the seven wonders of the ancient world have been celebrated by many scholars, writers, and artists, since about 200 B.C. These architectural monuments represent human achievement, however, six of the seven wonders have vanished. I put myself in a picture of the Temple of Artemis! Hope you enjoy!

Hybrid Creature

This is the hybrid creature I made using Photoshop! For this project, I took five different animals and mixed some of their features to make... well, whatever you call this! Can you guess what animals are incorporated? (Goat, Platypus, Goldfish, Monarch Butterfly, Elephant)

Decorate an Empty Room

This is my decorated empty room that I created using Photoshop! For this assignment, I played around with the perspective tools to make the items in this room look very realistic. Although this project was very time consuming and could be frustrating at times, it was ended up being really fun and I thought it turned out pretty good! I hope you think the same!

Colorized Ansel Adams Black & White Image

This was my colorized Ansel Adams picture! Just like the previous one, this assignment required us to add color to a black and white photograph taken by Ansel Adams. Because the picture of the rose was fairly simple, I decided to create two variations of them. I hope you enjoy!

Colorized Black & White Image

This is my colorized black and white image. For this assignment, I took a picture and then changed to black and white, using Photoshop. I then "colored" it. The goal was to try to get it to look as similar as possible to the original picture I took. I hope you enjoy!

Picasso-Esque Cubist Portrait

This is my Cubist Portrait, inspired by Pablo Picasso! Cubism was all about creating a piece of art that shows different views of an object seen all at once. So this portrait of Harry Potter shows not only his front view, but his side view, inside his ear, and his third eye! I hope you enjoy!

Surrealist Fruit Portrait

This is my surrealist portrait with fruit! For this assignment, we had to find a picture of someone and recompose them out of fruit, vegetables, or seafood, like the famous Renaissance painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo. Can you tell who this is? Your right, or... not; Its Princess Leia! This assignment was very fun and I hope you enjoyed it too! 🍈 🍉 🍊 🍋 🍌🍍 🍎 🍏 🍐 🍑 🍒 🍓 Here is the original picture.

Surrealist Digital Landscape 2

I decided to make another surrealsit landscape! I feel like this one is more surreal, or more bizzare and wierd. Can you find the giant armodillo, the flock of flying stingray, the peeking goat, the tall camels, and the water sloth? Hope you guys enjoy!

Surrealist Digital Landscape

For this assignment, we were asked to create a digital landscape based on surrealism, which means bizarre or dreamlike. I did two because... well why not? The first one was the light in the grey and the second, the city in the country. Hope you enjoy!

Digital Post-Impressionist Portrait

This is my post-impressionist portrait of Emma Watson that I made in Photoshop! Just like the post-impressionist landscape I did, we had to find a picture of anyone and recreate it out of dots. So if you look very closely, this whole thing is made of very small dots. This assignment was very time consuming, however in the end, I thought it turned out to be really fun. I hope you think the same!

Logo Challenge

This is my logo I redid! For this assignment, we were asked to find any logo and change it to how we thought it should look, by using different stencils and other tools in ArtRage. So this is how my Coco Cola turned out. Hope you enjoy!

ArtRage Composition: Formal Balance

This is my formal balance composition I made in ArtRage! For this assignment, we had to create something in the software ArtRage that showed either formal or informal balance. I chose formal balance, meaning that if you were to fold this picture in half, it would be symmetrical. I hope you like!
