Ella's Digital World

For this assignment, we were asked to find a flower and make it look like a classic Georgia O'Keeffe painting. For this one I had a lot of trouble making; I'm a perfectionist. I tried, but I was very difficult. 

This is the street art I made using ArtRage! At first, I was kind of conflicted on what to do for this, but then I remembered this quote I was shown I while ago. So, this is what came out! I really enjoyed this assignment because it was cool to make some of the art that I see every day. 

This is my Warhol-esque painting from Photoshop, featuring Yoda! As you may know, Andy Warhol was a major art figure, when it came to pop art. He featured Marilyn Monroe, Campbell soup cans, Coke Bottles, however I decided to show my Star Wars side. Hope all you Star Wars fans enjoy!

Using Photoshop, we were asked to take a landscape picture and make it like a real post-impressionist painting. Post-impressionism was about guiding the viewers eyes through the painting, so for this assignment I made the Egypt pyramids entirely out of dots. Each dot of color is supposed to guide your eyes into blending the colors together to see the overall painting. Hope you enjoy!

This is my scanned felt tip drawing! For this assignment, we actually had to use a felt tip pen and make a drawing of our own. My name means fairy, so I decided to draw a dancing fairy (I dance too). After drawing it, I put it into Photoshop and colored it in, using different tools. I liked this because I actually got to use some of my own drawing skills!

This is my Rhythm and Movement assignment! For this one, we used different stencils in ArtRage and had to basically create something that showed the two principals of design: Rhythm and Movement. As you can see, I used Rhythm by the deathly hallows pattern. Movement was used in the background because it flows together when you look closely. Hope you enjoy!

This is my digital esque painting inspired by the artist Mark Rothko! This artist was a major figure in modern art history. This lonely and sad man had a very abstract style of art and his art consisted of many different rectangles.  In this assignment, we had to create a digital painting kind of like the ones Rothko did. Instead of using Adobe Photoshop, we had to use a new software, Art Rage. This is a very cool digital art software because the tools in it resemble actual art tools and supplies. For example, in this assignment, I used the paint tube, the palette knife, and the airbrush. Thank you!
